Generac ix2000 I bought this product mid October. It took a few weeks to get to me. When I got it the Choke lever was broken off and not even in the package. Generac sent me a new one after about another month of waiting with a return label for the broken one to be returned . The choke lever was on this one but looked like it was made from some very cheap plastic. I set it up and was very careful in moving the lever since the first one was broken off. Once I moved it it came apart and broke in the exact same spot as the other one had come to me broken. So a month and a half later I still have no generator and no $600. From the short time it was running I could tell it was louder than I would think it would be. About lawn mower loud. Very dissapointed in the product! I wish I bought it locally so I could return it and get my money back.
(Edit:After contacting Generac personally they were very professional and helpful. They had someone local that I was able to take the unit to to get repaired. The local dealer was quick in repairing the product under warranty.)

If you read the other reviews, you will notice that there is definitely an issue with the choke lever. After I received this generator, there was also an issue with the choke lever being broken off right out of the box. This is a nice little generator and I personally think Generac is a good brand. I have had no negative issues with the company or it’s products in the past but this is certainly a KNOWN issue by now. Generac and Amazon obviously know about this choke lever problem. I think whoever buys this product on Amazon should be fairly warned before they purchase it. It can be fixed by contacting Generac or going through a local authorized dealer to repair it but this is an inconvenience and can take a substantial amount of time. If you are buying this product with plans of using it right away, I wouldn’t count on it. I also think it is wrong to keep selling an item that has been proven to be defective as a brand new item. I haven’t had my generator fixed yet, it is currently sitting at a local repair shop.
